It promotes a critical and creative analysis of the current youth soccer coaching landscape:

Is what we are coaching matching the demands of the modern-day soccer player?
Do we understand the strengths and weakness of the tools, activities, and methods that we use?

The course breaks down:

HOW to coach: methods, activities, delivery strategies, management, progressions, and periodization.

WHAT to coach: the content is organized based on multiple references, including the
traditional breakdown of the game, moments of the game, physical approach, technical approach, the tactical dimension, and tactical periodization.

The course also promotes a discussion regarding the main factors that coaches and clubs should consider when developing their season’s goals, and a multiyear curriculum, including a discussion related to “Game Model versus Teaching Objectives.”

Finally, it presents practical suggestions on how to engage players and parents in the process aiming to enhance the development of skills on and off the field.

“Soccer Player Intelligence”

“Soccer Powered by Futsal” was originally created to help develop intelligent soccer
players. To accomplish this, SFP brought the skills and “richness of individual and group
tactics” to soccer.

After the success of the books, videos, clinics, camps, and implementation of the
methodology at a variety of places, we are now creating courses for players so they can
better enjoy their developmental years while integrating the traditional content that they
learn from soccer coaches with all the options, ideas, and concepts of high-level futsal.

While the “Soccer Player Intelligence” courses were created for players, they can be an excellent resource for coaches and clubs to organize progressions of concepts and facilitate the teaching process. Click on the link to go to the “Soccer Player Intelligence” website for more information.
